This is my Dad’s 1931 Oldsmobile Hot Rod. The full story is yet to come. He bought this car when I was only about 3 months old and it sat in a garage in rural Saskatchewan for 30 years before he brought it back to Vancouver about 12 years ago. The 1931 Oldsmobile was built primarily by Gus Woods and Jeff Woods with several amazing craftsmen adding their talents along the way. The frame was modernized by Doug McLanders who has built numerous hot rods including a Good Guys Hot Rod of the Year winner and much of the metal work repairs on the body was done by a Buddhist monk.

The car is sports all original sheet metal. The running gear has been updated with the popular Chev 350/350 combination and a Ford 8″ rear end. Apart from lowering the stance of the car the body has been undisturbed. The interior is a 50’s style two tone tuck and roll design.

More data will come. I’m going to post this here as Dad doesn’t have a blog and now he’ll have a place to send people to see pics of his car.

The next one to be finished is going to be a 1935 Ford Pickup Truck Hot Rod running a 1988 Camaro V8 with a 1992 Corvette control module.
